I've been here a couple of times now and so far I've enjoyed both experiences. This restaurant has a rustic, casual interior which is perfect for brunch. It kind of reminds you of walking onto the porch of an old farmhouse with twinkling fairy lights on the ceiling.
One of the things I like about the menu is that you don't really have to ask if things can be made vegan or gluten free. If there are options to alter vegetarian dishes to be made for an alternative diet restriction it's described right on the menu.
This is the first place where I've seen macadamia nut milk and you really need to try it in a latte because it makes for the creamiest latte I've ever had.
I had the vegan huevos rancheros on my most recent visit and really enjoyed the flavor. My only critique would be that the tortilla could have been a bit crisper. I know I've also had one of the bowls, which I enjoyed, but honestly can't remember which one because I remember it being difficult to figure out which one of the delicious options I wanted to choose in the first place.
Just note that the restaurant accepts debit and cash only, so make sure to bring one of those options for payment. -

Came here for an after-lunch dessert, specifically to introduce my friend to their vegan chocolate cake. I insisted we each order separate slices because it's normally so good you don't want to share. Unfortunately thist ime 'round, their chocolate cake was dry and not the usual moist chocolatey goodness I'm used to. The frosting was necessary and even then, it was a big effort to eat. I mentioned this to our server who had nothing to add. Disappointing service and disappointing cake. Not sure if I'll be back anytime soon.

I've been going here for years. Back when it was smaller and had more of a hippie feel. Now it's it's grown up and is yuppie. I was longing for huevos rancheros and nowhere in the city does it as well as mosaics. Actually not that many places in the city seem to offer it. But if you have any leads let me know.
Along with the decor one of the things I've noticed is the staff is considerably more friendly. The service is great. We also enjoyed watching a cute basset hound puppy sit on the patio. The patio is a few tables outside.
My partner had the unicorn burger and it was delicious. There was beats, pineapple, and a chickpea Patty. They were other ingredients in there but I couldn't quite catch them but they all made one delicious sandwich My partner had the unicorn burger and it was delicious. I can sum up my experience here in one word: disappointed.
My roommate and I came here for a girl's night out, as we had both been here before and enjoyed the food. Honestly, I don't know what has happened to this place since then.
My friend and I started off with some lattes. I ordered a macadamia milk mocha and ended up with some weird americano with mocha powder and macadamia milk on the side. I figured there might have been a miscommunication with the server and luckily another server was happy to make me what I had ordered.
That was but the first mishap... next the food:
We both shared the mushroom pate appy, which was ok (nothing I would rave over but decent), and then got our own entrees. I got the Monkey Bowl which is listed as spicy. I asked if the kitchen could do it with little spice, as I am not good with spicy, and the server said yes. The bowl that came out had a LAYER of chili oil on top and I could not eat it. Our server offered to have it remade without the chili oil and I said sure but asked for it to go as my friend was done her food. The server said sure and then proceeded to bring me back the same soup I just told her I COULD NOT EAT in a jar.
At this point I was done and got up to pay and leave. At the till I explained the situation to the other server who chalked it up to "oh she's new". My friend was surprised to hear this since our server was her server when she was there 6 months ago. Also, I worked in a restaurant for 4 yrs; if a customer cannot eat something you DO NOT give it back to them... this is simple common sense. They did not offer to remove it from the bill or do anything to remedy the issue. Needless to say I will not be going back. -

This charming little cafe is incredible. When I first heard that it was vegan, I was a little apprehensive to try it as I am not a vegan myself. I was really surprised to see that they also offered some non vegan components on their menu, for example, you can get vegan eggs Benedict, or with eggs. The eggs Benedict is amazing, and probably my favourite thing that I've tried here. The have a huge selection of coffee and lattes to choose from and the baristas and staff are very friendly and easy to talk to. They are also very accommodating to those who have peanut/ treenut allergies. Vegan or not, this place has something for everyone to enjoy!
